What is a Rower?

A rower is someone that has both physical and mental strength. They are willing to spend countless hours working with their team and coaches on minute details that will help them execute an effective stroke. They must perfectly sync up with the other people in their boat to move as one well oiled machine.

Through all of this hard work, there are moments on the water where it feels as though everything else in your life fades into the background. All you are left with is the feeling of the water jostling the boat, the grip of the handle, the foot plate beneath your feet, and the cool morning sun across your face. In these moments you realize that all of your hard work has been worth it.

A key to success in rowing is strong cardiovascular endurance, as well as a degree of mental toughness nearly unmatched by any other sport. Through this a passion is formed that helps you push yourself in ways you never thought you could. You will find the time you put into rowing very rewarding.
